Yoroi Is Now SecondFi — How to Update and Get Started
Watch the video below for a full walkthrough of the update and migration process.
SecondFi is now live.
Yoroi Wallet has officially transitioned into SecondFi — a self-custody neofinance platform built for spending, sending, staking, and more, all with you in control.
As part of this transition, the Yoroi app has been updated to SecondFi. To continue accessing your wallet, you will need to update your app to the latest version.
What This Means for You
Everything you can do today — holding, sending, and staking your assets — remains exactly the same.
SecondFi builds on that foundation by adding more ways to use your assets in everyday life, including multichain access, global card-based spending, and new features over time.
Your self-custody wallet, assets, and access remain unchanged. You are simply continuing in an upgraded experience.
How to Update to SecondFi
Updating is simple. If you have auto-updates enabled, your Yoroi app will update to SecondFi automatically. If not, you can update it manually from your app store.
- Open the Apple App Store or Google Play Store on your device.
- Search for "SecondFi" or navigate to your list of pending updates. You will see the Yoroi app listed with an available update.
- Tap Update to install the latest version. The download will take a few moments depending on your connection.
- Once the update is complete, open the app. Your existing wallet will carry over automatically.

With existing wallet(s) in Yoroi, after updating the app to SecondFi, you will be able to see your existing wallet(s) with SecondFi layout:

With no wallet(s) in Yoroi, after updating the app to SecondFi, you will be taken to SeconfFi landing page where you can create new wallet or restore existing wallet/connect hardware wallet:

Before you update: We recommend backing up your recovery phrase as a precaution. In the unlikely event that your wallet does not appear after the update, you can use your recovery phrase to restore access via the SecondFi mobile app or the SecondFi Chrome extension. See How to Back Up Your Wallet for instructions.
After You Update
Once updated, you can continue using your wallet as usual in SecondFi. No additional steps are required.
If you would like to access assets across multiple networks or use features like global card-based spending, you can choose to enable these within the app at any time.
