How to Restore an Existing Wallet

There are several options to restore if you already have an existing wallet.


From SecondFi landing page > select "I already have a wallet" to start the restoration process:


Restore using recovery phrase

If you already have a BIP-39 recovery phrase (12, 15, or 24 words), you can restore your wallet in SecondFi.


  1. From the onboarding screen, select Restore an existing wallet.
  2. Enter your recovery phrase into the numbered grid. You can type word-by-word or paste the entire phrase.
  3. Complete the authentication setup (biometrics or password).
  4. Your wallet addresses will be derived from the restored seed.



Restore using hardware wallet

To restore a wallet using a Ledger/Trezor, please choose the Hardware wallet option and follow the instruction from this knowledge base to restore the wallet: Connecting a Hardware Wallet


Restore using a Social account

Clicks Continue with Social > choose Google/X/Email/Apple > login to your social account

How does this work?

We use Web3Auth to generate your wallet by connecting it to your social account

How can I recover my account if I lose access?

Simply import your account by signing in with your social media account that you sign up with now, or by entering your Recovery Phrase.
