How to Create a New Wallet

Getting started with SecondFi is designed to be fast and secure. You can create a wallet using two main methods.

Quickstart (Recommended)

The Quickstart method allows you to generate a wallet instantly without needing to write down a seed phrase immediately. You will be prompted to back up your recovery phrase later, once you have funds to protect.

1. Open the SecondFi app and select Quickstart.
2. Set up your authentication method (biometrics by default if supported or password).
3. The app will generate your wallet and derive addresses for all supported networks.
4. You will land on the Home screen, ready to use your wallet.

Social login

If you prefer, you can create a wallet linked to your existing social accounts. We support Google, Email, X (formerly Twitter), and Apple (available on Apple devices only).

1. Select your preferred social login provider on the welcome screen.
2. Complete the authentication process with the provider.
3. Your wallet will be created automatically. A recovery phrase is securely derived from your social login.

Important: Your recovery phrase is derived from your social account. This means that if you log in via Google, and later log in via Email using the same Google email address, you will access the exact same wallet and have the same recovery phrase.
