How to Redeem NIGHT Tokens in SecondFi (Midnight)

What is the NIGHT redemption feature?


The NIGHT redemption feature in SecondFi Mobile allows eligible users to participate in the Midnight claiming process during the redemption phase. It enables you to view eligible addresses, review claim details, and trigger the transaction that redeems your NIGHT tokens.



How do I access the redemption feature?


On SecondFi Mobile:


  • Tap the Profile icon in the bottom navigation bar.
  • Select Midnight Airdrop to open the NIGHT redemption feature.
  • You may also be prompted via an in-app notification if SecondFi detects that one or more addresses in your wallet are eligible for NIGHT redemption.



On SecondFi Extension:


  • Tap the Airdrop icon on the left-side menu.



Viewing and Managing Eligible Addresses


When the feature is opened, SecondFi displays a list of eligible destination addresses found in all the wallets restored in the app. Each address is shown as a card; tapping a card opens a detailed view with:


  • Information about the claim (such as allocation and status).
  • A button to trigger the redemption transaction for that address.



You can also manually enter an address to check if it is eligible. If it is, the address is added to the list for easier tracking and redemption.


Note: Manual address entry is available on SecondFi Mobile only.




How do I Redeem NIGHT from an Eligible Address?


  1. Tap the card for the eligible destination address.
  2. The detailed view opens, showing key information about your claim, including eligibility details, NIGHT amount, and related metadata.
  3. Tap the Redeem button to initiate the redemption transaction.
  4. Follow the prompts to confirm and send the transaction from your wallet.



What is the Thaw Schedule and How Can I View It?


The thaw schedule defines when your redeemed NIGHT tokens become accessible.


From the detailed view:


  • Tap Thaw schedule to see a breakdown of the unlocking timeline.
  • You can also schedule notifications to remind you when each thaw milestone occurs.
  • On the SecondFi Extension, the thaw schedule is displayed on the same screen as the claim details.




How do I Manage My Thaw Notifications (Mobile)?


You can review or modify your scheduled thaw notifications in two ways:


  • Directly from Settings: Tap the Profile icon → scroll to the Preferences section → tap Notifications to manage all active reminders.
