# What to Do If You Forget Your PIN or Password

SecondFi is a self-custodial wallet, which means we cannot reset your PIN or encryption password on your behalf.

1. On the lock screen, tap the **Forgot PIN** link.
2. This will initiate a destructive reset, permanently wiping the wallet data from your device.
3. You must then restore your wallet using your recovery phrase.

> **Warning:** Without your recovery phrase, a device reset will result in permanent loss of access to your funds.
